Hope sets each student up to be set in their career field or move on to graduate school which many schools don't do!. People genuinely want to get to know YOU as a person. Everyone is super friendly but not in a fake way. Speaking of professors, all of them are amazing! If you are struggling in a class professors are more than willing to meet with you during office hours so you can succeed! There is always something happening on campus it's hard to choose what to do almost every day! Hope's location is also amazing because the beach is just a 15-minute drive away and downtown Holland is just a 2-minute walk away. Hope is on the smaller size which is really nice for classes because professors actually get to know you as a person instead of just a number. Hope is a smaller private Christian school and is very unique in that way that they do not require us, students, to attend chapel like many other Christain schools in the nation. Sophomore: Hope College is very unique in a few different ways. Other than the tough curriculum and walking requirement, the school is a great university with a lot of great resources for students!. ![]() also, if you are in the college of engineering, be prepared to work very hard! The prerequisites alone will try and weed you out, causing a lot of students to take them elsewhere. ![]() I'd recommend bringing a bike or some ulterior mode of transportation as you will be walking a lot at this university. Bus routes are usually spread from 30 minute intervals and there is very limited parking for undergraduate students. Personally, I feel like the University of Michigan does offer it's students a lot of resources to be successful, be it free tuition, scholarships, and counselors, and free healthcare, but with many college campuses, I feel like it is a challenge to get around, especially in the north campus coupled with the grueling winters. Senior: This school will definitely land you a career with it's prestigious backing, if you can even graduate from it.
